Family

So, I have been thinking about creating a new blog for some time, but i have hesitated with these questions in mind. What is the purpose of it? Doesn't it just stress me out to write? How will I express myself adequately?

Well, here I am to answer my own questions...

The purpose is to write my feelings and experiences in hopes that they will help influence others for good and help others come closer to Jesus Christ.  In some, and possibly many, cases, what I write may very well be more for me than anyone else- reminding me to stay focused on what is most important.

Yes, Lexi, it does stress you out to write, but only when you try to please the readers.  Here I will write my feelings and experiences without the stress of worrying about saying everything perfectly, which leads to my last question...

I will express myself only the best I can because that is all I can do.

To start this blog, I simply want to share what has made me so happy since I arrived home from my mission: FAMILY.  On a mission, you refrain from thinking too much about family since you know you can't see them or talk to them.  But now, being home, it is quite the opposite.  They are around me, grabbing my legs, hanging from my neck, and sitting by my side all day long- (nieces and nephews very much included in that description).  I love it.

Why does family make me so happy? I know they are a gift from God- no matter the decibel level they reach or how much of my personal space they eliminate.  My family makes me feel at home.  They help me to love who I am.  They make me laugh.  They are my own flesh and blood, if anything else.  God wants me to love them, and as I do, He is grateful.

Because of a new computer, a lost camera, and lack of family photos, I will post one picture- another thing that made me happy today, and obviously needs no caption.

Love always,
Lexi
